For over two decades, I’ve had the sacred privilege of supporting families through the deeply personal journey of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. As a Certified Professional Midwife, I’ve attended more than 1,400 births and built a practice centered on trust, respect, and informed choice.
I founded Circle of Life Midwifery to provide compassionate, family-centered home birth care that honors both the physiology of birth and the emotional and spiritual dimensions of becoming a parent. My care is rooted in traditional midwifery wisdom, supported by evidence-based practices, and delivered with unwavering presence.
I hold a master’s degree in psychology and education from Columbia University, and bring a trauma-informed, emotionally attuned approach to every interaction. Over the years, I’ve also taught and mentored many aspiring midwives and students, a role I cherish deeply as part of the broader calling to preserve and grow the midwifery model of care.
I am married and a proud mother to two grown sons and a young daughter. My own motherhood journey continues to evolve and has shown me that we never fully know where this path will lead us. I meet every family with that awareness—ready to listen, to support, and to walk beside you with humility and love.
I serve families throughout Connecticut with personalized prenatal care, home birth, postpartum support, and newborn care. My practice is intentionally small so that I can offer the depth of care each family deserves.

For low-risk pregnancies, research shows that planned home births with qualified midwives are as safe (or safer) as hospital births. We carefully screen all clients and have clear transfer protocols in place if medical intervention becomes necessary.
We are out-of-network providers, so coverage depends on your plan's out-of-network benefits. We work with a billing service to help you navigate insurance billing and maximize your reimbursement. However, we do require payment out-of-pocket for our services, and insurance reimbursement would come to you after care is provided.
Our midwives are trained to identify potential issues early. It is incredibly rare for low-risk women to experience emergencies requiring immediate transport. We carry emergency equipment and always have transfer plans in place with local hospitals if transfer becomes necessary. Most transfers are non-emergent and done with ample time.
Absolutely! You may rent a birth tub or use your own tub at home. At the home visit we will discuss the best place for it be in your home.
